New Independent Poll Shows Cindy Holscher With Commanding Lead in Democratic Primary for Governor
Holscher Leads Nearest Opponent by 27 Points as Momentum Grows Across Kansas
Topeka, KS — A new independent poll of likely Kansas Democratic primary voters shows Senator Cindy Holscher continuing to build a wide lead in the Democratic primary for governor, highlighting the campaign’s growing momentum and broad coalition of support across Kansas. The polling was conducted by Change Research on behalf of Civic Clarity/Capitol Bee, and was in the field June 11-15, 2026. The poll was not sponsored by any candidate or political party.
Holscher leads the field with 37% support, more than tripling the support of her nearest competitor, Ethan Corson, and holding a lead of 27 percentage points.
“Cindy’s message is resonating because she’s talking about the issues Kansans are thinking about every day — the cost of groceries, everyday essentials, health care, and making sure our schools have the resources they need,” said campaign manager Madi Ashcraft. “While others are focused on maintaining the status quo, Cindy is focused on delivering results and putting people first. We’re going to continue earning every vote and building the campaign needed to beat the MAGA nominee in November.”

Cindy Holscher was raised on a farm and brought up with common sense, Midwest values, and a love of her country. Cindy and her husband Greg have lived in Kansas for over 25 years, and their three kids graduated from public schools. She first ran for office to help end the disastrous Brownback experiment and to restore funding to the schools. As a legislator, Cindy co-founded the Women’s Bipartisan Caucus, and she focused on lowering costs for working class and middle class Kansans. Now, she’s running for Governor because Kansas deserves a leader who has a proven track record of fighting for all Kansans.
