About KC
Born in Wichita and a product of Kansas public schools, Ohaebosim (Oh-HOB-oh-sum) currently serves in the Kansas House of Representatives, where he has built a reputation as a pragmatic leader focused on good-paying jobs, public schools, and worker protections for Kansas families.
Ohaebosim has earned national recognition for his legislative leadership, including being named Regional Legislator of the Year by the National Black Caucus of State Legislators in both 2022 and 2025. As a state representative, Ohaebosim voted to end the disastrous Brownback tax experiment, strengthen civil rights protections, and support policies aimed at lowering costs for working families.
He was first elected in 2017 to the Kansas House. Now, he’s running for Lieutenant Governor to fight alongside Cindy Holscher for a better future for every Kansan.
