Sen. Cindy Holscher Wins KCUR Debate With the Strongest Plan to Make Kansas More Affordable

Holscher Only Candidate to Fight for Everyday Kansans – Not Billionaires

OVERLAND PARK, KS — State Senator and Democratic frontrunner for governor Cindy Holscher was a stand out winner in today’s KCUR debate as the only Democrat on the stage willing to stand up to wealthy special interests to protect everyday Kansans and lower the cost of living.

Holscher touted her opposition to the billionaire stadium giveaway, her proposed moratorium for A.I. data centers, and her plans to make corporations and millionaires pay their fair share so that we can lower property taxes for everyone else.

“Today’s debate reinforced that Cindy Holscher is the only candidate for governor, Democrat or Republican, who is willing to fight against the establishment so we can lower the cost of living for working people,” said campaign manager, Madi Ashcraft. “Two men running against Cindy are creatures of the establishment offering more of the same status-quo politics that people are sick of. Kansans need someone tough enough to beat Ty Masterson in the fall; that’s not Ethan Corson or Curt Skoog.”

Cindy Holscher was raised on a farm and brought up with common sense, Midwest values, and a love of her country. Cindy and her husband Greg have lived in Kansas for over 25 years, and their three kids graduated from public schools. She first ran for office to help end the disastrous Brownback experiment and to restore funding to the schools. As a legislator, Cindy co-founded the Women’s Bipartisan Caucus, and she focused on lowering costs for working class and middle class Kansans. Now, she’s running for Governor because Kansas deserves a leader who has a proven track record of fighting for all Kansans.
